New Movicon  X2 features

 

 

Movicon X2 (rel. 10.2.951) has introduced many new features to  add even further power to the  Movicon X platform. Many of these new features concern the managing of projects for Windows CE, where the designer is provided with noticeably enhanced potentialities for HMI applications, especially in the memory and debugger  managements as well as in  preformances. 

Other new features have been added to  the new editor functions to increase platform potentiality.  

 

1. New Heap Memory management for  WinCE 5.0.  This allows you to exceed the WinCE's 32 MB memory limit per process. 

2. New Historical managements with IMDB (InMemory DB) technology, added to the ODBC Manager. The IMDB engine is based on text files and XML.  Faster and  higher performing than ODBC management for entry-level devices.

3. New and improved Trend functions.

4. Increased page change perfromances under WinCE, thanks to the runtime binary parsing for screens.

5. New STEP7 instructions in the general logic.  German syntaxes have been reinstated.

6. New Dropping Symbol Code functions to create project variables automatically. 

7. New Upload Manager for transferring projects to WinCE devices using a variety of different modalities. 

8. Increased performances in analysing specific data from the SQL Server. 

9. New support for child project strings. Now for projects with relationship "father-child" both can access to strings resources. 

10. The MovXCE.ini file has been introduced for managing system settings better.  

11. New representations of displaying the decimal point in integer values within  display objects.

12. New UI Interface management support from Web Client. This increases the Web Client features from the client side. 

13. New function for automatic project booting from WinCE. 

14. Added option to manage numpad min-max limits on variables.   

15. New functions in the font management to increase graphics performances under WinCE

16. New system variables : one with the text of the the last ON alarm occurrence and one with the number of pending alarms not yet notified by the dispatcher.

17. Improved TAG importer Tool from .CSV external files

18. Improved project configurations in Windows Terminal Server. 

19. Support introduced to child project variables in the General Logic.

20. New style properties fro alarms :  Style-Beep, Style-Bmp File, Style-Sound File AVI, Notification Event-Text to Send, Execution-Commands ON, Commands OFF, Commands ACK, Commands RESET.

21. Improved style and graphical aspect of the TAB GROUP and CHECK BOX objects.

22. Improved wizard relating to automatially created recipe screen style.  

23. A secondary network card has been implemented in the redundancy  management. 

24. Added Support to backup servers for all graphic objects which can be centralized on the  network. 

25. Refresh button added to the DB Grid object.

26. New tools added for making edting easier:  the Easy Mode property displays only the most common properties by hiding those that are not. The "Fast" property configuration window opens with a double click on the object.  You can now also save and load favorite "workspaces".  

27. Web Client 'Full Screen' support added to automatically fit page in the browser window.  

28. Improved performances for arranging  project resources and Tags in order.

29. New functions in the schedulers to support holidays.

30. New print spooler management for all project  alarms and events. 

31. Windows LFH support has been integrated (Low Fragmentation Heap) to further enhance project performances. 

32. New functions in the alarm Speech properties.

33. Dragging properties for graphics have been added. 

34. The Remote Debug has been implemented  (attach to process) for Movicon projects, allowing you to execute a complete debug of project run on other WinCE or Win32 stations. 

35. New Debugger functions and tools for debugging VBA scripts on line.

36. New graphic properties for drawings (Visibility group): Invert Color, ShowFocus and Show Hilite.

37. Project file tracking and edited project file backup managements  have been introduced.  A copy and the revision count (build) for each project save are recorded and stored. 

38. A new graphic function has been added to drawing objects animating the status of Alarm groups or areas.  

39. New commands have been added to the command list for objects:  Play Sound File, Beep, Speek, Reboot O.S.

40. A new command has been included to allow you to export alarm statistic reports to HTML files.

41. New project variable move and statistic commands have been added to the command group.

42. New properties have been added to drawing animation graphics which allow you to enhance system timer animation performances (ie. blink).  

43. New properties have been implemented to improve OPC Item connection management.  

44. New VBA functions, properties and methods have been added.
