MovTracer has been designed by Progea as plant-wide data storage product completely independent from  Scada/HMI systems, with the same I/O drivers and OPC technology used by Movicon. This means MovTracer can be connected to all the production and industrial automation control systems, irrespective of whether these consist of PLC, Tools, Balances or other HMI/SCADA applications.

MovTracer© provides a powerful, simple tool for data acquisition and collection in industrial databases.  MovTracer has a simple data acquistion engine which is capable  of communicating with all factory levels, acquire realtime  production information and aggregate it on DB for managerial analysis.  

MovTracer is a tool which connects all factory levels (PLC, SCADA, HMI, Fieldbus) and  IT management levels (Information System, ERP).

The data collected by the  MovTracer can be analysed and handled independently by the company CED, or the MovTracer can be setup with Front-Ends,  by Progea, to provide caculation and main data display interfaces (KPI production performances and machine downtimes)

The advantages you get from using MovTracer are:

• Great connectivity, provided by the I/O drivers park included in the package. The drivers are those used in the  Movicon Scada and allow direct connection to all the PLC, field bus and industrial tools. The OPC Client and OPC Server technology guarantee connectivity to any Scada or HMI station. Other real-time connection methods offer the maximum possible connectivity  to obtain any kind of factiory information in realtime. 

• Open to all relational databases. The advantage of using MovTracer is that collected information is guaranteed in all  relational databases due to the  powerful and efficient integrated ODBC manager.  You can therefore record not only on SQL Server but with Oracle, Interbase, AS400, SAP, etc at the same time as well.  In this way you are quanranteed that this product can be applied anywhere you need it to be by selecting the format desired. 

• Calculation option. To give you maximum flexibility the  MovTracer has been integrated with an instruction list  logic engine and scaling to allow you  to aggregate, calculate and  change acquired values  before recording them.
