if your webcam support tcp ip downloading of images, yo can use the IP Camera viewer object of Movicon11.Can you see your webcam in a browser? If yes, try to put the url in the IP camera URL property of the movicon viewer.
    bye

In Movicon, in the simulated runtime (when clicking „start project“), the ip camera viewer works very well with MJPG (video stream)and also JPG (image)settings. BUT when I upload the project to the HMI, the viewer is blank. I’ve tried fiddling with all the settings/URLs/refresh rates/webclient and I can’t get it to work. Additionally, while trying to get it to work, I opened the URL straight from Internet Explorer in Windows CE, where is gives me a 401 error (not authorized), I went to the IE settings, and set all the activeX security settings to minimum (i.e. enable all active elements). The only way I as able to get the IP camera to work in a browser was to install a Zetakey Web Browser demo, which worked with the JPG url. But this is not a option as the software cost $100 and its a external application…everything needs to work inside the movicon runtime.

    Hi Dguaman,
Strange the IP camera Image visualization object is supported also in WinCE , are you sure is not a networking problem?
Try to slow down the Max. refresh frequency , > then 1 second .

    Hi Dguaman,

I‘ m using the IP camera Viewer on Win CE without problems.

Probably your camera requires a correct authentication to download the images.

I come to this statement because in the previous mail you said that you get the message “ 401 error (not authorized),“

Did you set the property URL User in the IP camera Viewer?

    URL User

The name of the project user to be used for connecting to the IP Camera. Some IP Cameras may request for authentication in order to download images. In this case the user name and password to be used for authentication are those of the project user set in this field.

So try to create in Movicon 11 an user (Users and User Groups resource) with the same name and password of the user you are using in the camera and later „call“ this user in that property of the object.
