Hi,I’m trying to import a database from my OPC server to Movicon. I created for that a CSV with this format:
    HardwarePoint1,Float,Input,Device:1:2000:A
The address field is then Device:1:2000:A. I use the format from my OPC server. However, when importing this csv file, I’m getting an error message: Invalid ‚Address‘ Attribute in CSV file
Any idea what is expected in the address field?Thanx

Hi, I did something similar with drivers. The field Address that you filled with the OPC address is the internal Movicon address for the variable, so it is expected to be a number. The field that has to be filled with the OPC address is that corresponding to the dynamic address. As an example, look at the following line:
VAR00004,Word,Flag,0,,,0,1,192,4294901760,0,0,0,0,4294967295,0,1000,0,100,,[OPC]Softing.OPCToolboxDemo_ServerDA.1maths.sinwhat follows [OPC] is the dynamic address for the variable. To be sure about the syntax required for your opc server, the best would be if you connect one of your OPC tag to a movicon variable and then export that realtimedb to a csv; inside it you’ll find what is expected.
    hope this helps!

Thanks for the info, that helps. Can I set the internal Movicon address randomly, or is there some kind of algorithm to follow?

in the Input, Output and Flag area the variables have to be spaced for their wldth, otherwise they’ll be superimposed. Ex. if you put a word at the address 100, it will take the byte 100 and 101; the next variable should have 102 as address….Variable in the not shared area are allocated by Movicon, so the address is ignored…
I found usefull to take a look at the programming manual, just as an overview about the Movicon resources. The pdf it’s downloadable from Progea Web.Bye

There is some sort of tools which you can use for import and some are paid as well. The topresume.com is a place where you can find every feature which you can use for the sake of import and export.
