    Dear Forum,

I have created a report (With multiple data tables) and setup as per the instructions from web links provided previously, when I click on the Preview tab within report designer everything works and looks perfect.  But when I call the report from within Movicon runtime it is displaying 570 pages of duplicated data of the same row with the same time (The data is not duplicated within the database), for 4 minutes worth of requested data 4,444 pages of printout has been created.

I have also noticed at the end of the reports where I have my graphs that there appears to be valid data (Not flat lines!) being displayed in the graph but there is more than 4 minutes worth of data it looks like all of the data has been used in the graph from when the project went ‘Live’ on the 28/02/2013.

Please would it be possible to assist me with this problem or does anyone have any ideas, I have logged this issue with technical support but have not had a response yet.

    Many Thanks.

    Steve.

    Hi PEIDI,

I am just calling the report from a ‘view report’ push button and I have enabled the ‘Ask Date’ so that when the button is pressed it asks for the time period, when the OK button is pressed the report runs.

I have not carried out any filtering, how or where can I enable the filtering and also where do I check the Query?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

is the report shows the same date as compare with your ‘ask date’??

can I know more about the ‘view report’ push button?
it is execute the ‘report-recipe’ or ‘script’ or ‘screen’??

the query may be found in… (Sorry, I can think of these only.):-
    – Screen ‘ReportViewer’ -> OCX ‘ocxReportViewer’ -> Script
    – Basic Script ‘ViewReport’-> Script
    – the ‘view report’ push button -> Script

I ever faced a problem regarding the report, whereby it shows all the records of all days, instead of the particular day.

    regards.

It is a Report-Recipe pushbutton and yes the date range appears correct based on what has been entered except for the graphs at the bottom of the page which appear to be showing the whole of the data in the database. The tables are repeating the same data for approx 500 pages and then go onto the next minutes of data which goes on for another 500 pages etc. I hope that this makes sense. Many thanks.

    Sorry, I got it wrong.
Perhaps you can try to check the tables settings in the report.
I am not so familiar with the Crystal Report too.

For my case, the Report-Recipe does not work correct too. Then, I use script with query.

Thanks very much again for your response, do you have any information or can you tell me where to get information relating to running a report using scripts with query instead of just using the Report-Recipe pushbutton.

    Hi,
you may download the Examples >
    Recipes and Reports > ES_ViewRecipeReport
you may also try this.  > Recipes and Reports > ES_DataLoggerReport

I refer to the ES_ViewRecipeReport for the Report (Report Designer).
I refer to the ES_DataLoggerReport for filter and show report.

somehow, I notice that the report in the ES_DataLoggerReport is a ‘.rpt’, while my Report Designer is generating report ‘.repx’.

    regards.

    Hello Guys,

My first suggestion is to work on ‘Report Designer’ with the preview button. Maybe inserting the filter in the report by specifying a ‘start date’ and an ‘end date’ for example using ‘parameters’.

Once this is done, you can move in Movicon to retrieve  the report from a command line using the ReportViewernet.exe and the parameters or better using the same but running the command from VB code so you can use the parameters that you defined in the report.

Movicon is the platform of the designer which deals with the designing and the elaboration of the designing sense. The community forum is available at edubirdie for getting the proper design at the community forum to play the game and circles.
