    Hi,
I’m checking Movicon.NExT and I learn that licensing now is different in comparison to Movicon 11. What differences are there?

Hello, now the licenses are counting TAGS, and not anymore I/O Bytes exchanged like Movicon 11.

    Hi,
Movicon.NExT has a licensing model based on Tags, only Tags connected with field devices. Each Tag can be bit, byte, word, float, long, double… You can have also Structures or Array, but in this case each member counts like a Tag.
Respect to Movicon 11, there is a big difference, where Movicon 11 counts I/O bytes. Please refers to the Product License Page of this web site, where you can also download the PDF file for products details. In case more details needs, please contact your nearest Progea sales office.
    Thanks.

I also have a question: how it works with “In Use Variables” ? And how it works the Clients Tags counts?

Movicon.NExT licensing for the Server counts only Tags exchanged with the field devices, independently from what is in use or not. The Client station will count only the Tags connected to the servers, counting only the Tags in use. But please note that the Client counts any kind of Tag connected to the servers.
