I want to get a project from my Vipa panel using Movicon 11.5. When I press ‘Get Project from Device!’, I get the error ‘The Device does not contain any project!’. I read in documentation that the project that will be taken from the device is actually the one defined in the MovCE.boot file. My question is: how could define my project’s name in the boot file? Many thanks in advance!17 Maggio 2019 alle 17:34 #132449
The MovCE.boot file can be copied and opened in the development PC with a text editor.
However it is created automatically when the project starts on the panel. Usually you don’t have to touch it manually.
Just to be sure :
-Have you started the “TCPUploadServer.exe” in the destination PC?
(tool present in the Movicon installation path)
-In the Development PC (right click on the project name), select the plugin type :TCP , set the Server IP + User name and password
Set the “Upload device path”….

The Movicon TCP Upload Server option is checked. The PlugIn Type is set to TCP and server’s IP address is set. But when I hit ‘Get Project from Device!’ button, I get the error ‘The Device does not contain any project!’. Is there any setting I have to do in order to get the project from the Vipa device?
Many thanks in advance!24 Maggio 2019 alle 17:30 #132457
But, can’t you just copy the folder? I work in this way normally…
It’s not a compiled project …, You can copy it and take it to the development PC.
I usually find it convenient to download from PC to the device, not get it from CE.
You can check also the “Boot File”
When Movicon is run, it will search for the “MovCE.boot” file in the root of the Compact Flash at its startup. The file specifying the path and name of the project file to be run should be in this file. The file is in XML format and is structured as follows:
<?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”ISO-8859-1″ ?>
