The EIBus – Konnex Driver was designed specifically to get in communication with Building Automation Devices, connected through EIB bus, or with the new Konnex System, which is the compatible successor of EIB.
EIB devices, like lights, dimmer, lamps, curtains, switches, …, have to be configured for their net address with the aid of the ETS software. In order to operate correctly with EIB devices, a good knowledge of the Konnex architecture and of the ETS software is required. For more information about this bus and the related tools, please refer to www.knx.org
Our driver can operate in Ethernet communication, where the link between IP network and EIB devices are one or more EIBNet/IP routers. Each communication channel requires a dedicated interface.

The BACnet/IP driver provides communication with devices supporting BACnet protocol in its implementation over IP.
BACnet is a protocol defined by ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers). The ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135-2004 document contains the protocol definition. Annex to the document contains specification of the BACnet transported over IP, which is the implementation chosen for this driver.
The BACnet protocol has a number of services that permit to read/write the properties of the configured Data Objects. In order to get the value of the property “Present_Value”, it is possible to choose between two ways : sending a request “ReadProperty” or subscribing a COV (Change Of Value) notification for the Data Object. Using the service “ReadProperty” means polling the object with a request, and receive an answer containing the data; using COV notification means subscribing to the device for a notification when the “Present_Value” of a Data Object changes. This second way results in a spontaneous message from the device, whenever a Present_Value changes its value, reducing the traffic at the minimum.

The Siemens SINAUT ST1 driver has been designed to exchange data with Siemens devices equipped with modules that support the SINAUT ST1 protocol.
A connection must be established to remote devices in order to exchange data with them. The telecontrol LAN can be a dedicated or a switched LAN. This driver assumes that a serial connection (RS-232/RS-485) is available. If modems are used, the modem connection must be completely transparent for this driver.
The driver polls periodically the configured stations to get input data. For each station one input task must be defined. This input task is used by the driver to parse the received data and to pass them to the supervisor.
The driver permits also to send commands to the devices.
To achieve the maximum flexibility, the driver permits to define the device data structures (“Data Templates”), corresponding to the data that can be read/written from/to the devices. The drivers permits also to define the codes of the output commands (3 codes for each command).

EtherNet/IP is an industrial networking standard that takes advantage of commercial off-the-shelf Ethernet communication chips and physical media. IP stands for ‘industrial protocol’ and it is what distinguishes this network. Unlike many options in the industrial Ethernet crowd, EtherNet/IP uses an open protocol at the application layer. Moreover, more than one vendor or organization backs EtherNet/IP. It is the only standard supported by three networking organizations: ControlNet International (CI), the Industrial Ethernet Association (IEA) and the Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA).
This driver has been expressly thought to communicate with Omron NJ PLC series over the Ethernet network. This driver uses symbolic tag addressing (tags names) with Ethernet/IP native commands.

The Hilscher NetLink driver provides Simatic MPI communication to Siemens devices via the Hilscher ‘NetLink’ Ethernet interface. This driver was designed specifically for the use with Siemens S7 300 and 400 and VIPA System 200V, 300V, 300S and 500S series.
Before the Netlink device can be used, an appropriate system configuration must be set. In particular you have to specify a valid IP address for the Netlink device. For further details please refer to “Netlink configuration” .
A single Hilscher NetLink driver can manage communication with a single Netlink device. This does not prevent from communicating with more PLCs at a time.
As an example, you can connect 3 PLCs with different MPI IDs through a standard Profibus cable, then connect the Netlink device to the MPI port of one of the PLCs and you will access all the 3 PLCs data areas.
The driver should be configured with 3 stations, each one with the specific MPI station ID of the related PLC, but all the stations must have the same IP address (server address), that is the IP address of the Netlink device as specified in “Netlink configuration” .
The use of more Netlink devices at a time is possible by duplicating the driver, that is creating a copy on the driver for each Netlink device in use. For further details see “Driver duplication” in the Supervisor manual.
