Movicon's OPC Server

I have problem with Movicon’s OPC Server. It starts with application start. OPC Clients (Movicon, Softing OPC Toolbox, CAS OPC Viewer) see this server (all structure of variables), but the vaules of variables don’t refresh (timestamp = data & time of application start). Any ideas what can be reason of this? What should I do to get proper work of OPC Server?

I used Movicon as OPC Server and I don’t noted any problem.. If I change the value of a variable (marked as OPC Server) in Movicon, I can see that the TimeStamp of this variable in my OPC Client watch window change correctly.
Anyway, you could try to enable the property of RealTimeDB ‘Notify TimeStamp Changes’..

I don’t see any data related to variables in OPC Client watch window, but I can see it in property window of single OPCItem. Isn’t it strange? And the same thing happen when I use Movicon OPC Client or CAS OPC Viewer. When I use Softing OPC Toolbox there is only list of variables without any data.
When I change value of variable in Movicon the TimeStamp (and value) of this variable in OPC Client change after I refresh it. This value doesn’t refresh automatically.
Three OPC Clients work similarly, so it seems like configuration OPC Server is wrong. But what exactly is wrong? Has anybody any idea? I can’t find the reason.

the behavior you describe, happens when an OPC Group created in the Client, is set to work on ‘Polling’, so the user must refresh manually the Item (for example in the Softing, in the group properties, you can set it in ‘Data Retrieval’).
Anyway, you told that the OPC Server configuration could be wrong but if you can communicate, I don’t think that the problem is related to it configuration. Also because in Movicon it is enough enable in Real Time DB properties ‘OPC Server DA’ and ‘Auto Register/Unregister’, while in the Tags properties, ‘Enable OPC Server’.

Hi all, I have a bigger problem.
I can’t see the server UA which I created in Movicon.
To make a test, I did a project with only one tag and only one display in which I display the server tag.
I called the tag VAROPC_server I checked its proprerties OPC UA Server and OPC Server under ‘options’.
Then, I opened the properties of Real Time DB and under ‘OPC UA Server’ I checked OPC UA server and I gave a name to the OPC Server [email protected]
and in the list of the endpoints I putted opc.tcp://opc:445 and I tried other ports.
Then, I run the project (which is the server).
Then, I used another PC in which I created a client OPC UA but when I create it I cannot see the server.
Even if I put the url manually. The url: opc.tcp://opc:445 and other that I tried.
What can be the problem?
I really need your help!

The Movicon OPC Server can be configured through the appropriated property accessible from the Real Time DB Settings.
“OPC Server Name”
This edit box is used for setting the name with which the Movicon OPC Server will be registered with in the operating System.
Check in the service control panel of the PC if the service OPCenum is running normally.
