    Hello,
Yes, it is possible. You can have any project you want and launch and run them without any problem. And also, you can run simultaneously more than one instance of Movicon, with different projects, on the same PC. In this case, only be carefull to avoid hardware communication conflicts.

    Hello,
You can use the Expression field of the Opacity (visibility) dynamic animation of a symbol. then, using the expression editor, you can “mask” the bit of a the Reference Tag assigned to the symbol as follow:

    =BITAND([x],1) OR BITAND([x],8),

This example will “mask” the bit nr. 1 and 8 of your reference tag.
Other example: if you want to make the AND logic between two different variables:

    =AND([Variable001], [Variable002])

In this case you will have the AND between Variable001 and Variable002

    Hi,
Yes, you application reports will be accessible from the web. You don’t have to create any specific command. Is very simple: your reports can be accessed from the web using the system menu from the browser, using the menu item “Reports”. Please note that Web Reports are supported only from a browser (not from the mobile APP).

    Hello,
yes, when you access to your project from the web, it coud be better to create a difference between accessing from a smartphone instead from a browser. If you create a simplified version of any screen, naming <myscreenname_mobile>, the smartphone automatically will view the “mobile” version of the screen.
For example: you have the full HD screen named “Main”. You will acess to this screen from the browser. If you created a simplified screen version, named “Main_mobile”, if you access from the smartphone, automatically this simplified screen will be accessed, instead of “Main”.

    Hi,
PubNub is a cloud infrastructure that allows any kind of device or application exchange data using a light, fast and secure protocol, using specific API. You can see https://www.pubnub.com/
Progea developed a communication driver in order to connect device through IIoT concepts, keeping in mind the performance and the security firstly, using the cloud and IoT infrastructure.
So, Connext can be a gateway to collect data from field device and send them to a Data Center, for example a Movicon.NExT Supervision global system, or maybe another Connext from the world, to bring this data to a SAP or other MES/ERP.

    Hello Robin,
Yes. Movicon.NExT supports all the OPC UA Specifications: DA (Data Access), A&C (Alarms and Conditions) and HA (Historical Access). This means that you can also have a HMI application connected to a OPC UA Server, not only to display data items, but even to connect the Alarms Window to the server to manage the server alarms, or Trends or Data viewer to access to historical data on the server.

Please note than you can access to any Movicon.NExT Report using the Web Client HTML5. From the web client, you have a menu that allows to select the published reports on the server. You can also export to PDF, CSV, email, print etc. from Web Client.

    Hi,
A recipe represents the transformation, in terms of units produced, between the input and the output of a productive resource. So it could be necessary to define, in terms of basic units of measure, how many pieces enter and how many exit. The multiplicative factors is designed to offer the capability to multiplicate the physical counts for the pieces produced by the machine. For example, one pieces block enter, and with a specific recipe, the block is worked and divided in 4 pieces. So, the exit can be multiplicated by 4.

    Joseph,
Both objects records data Tags into a DB, but please note:
Data Loggers: each Tag is related to a DB Column. when you make a record, you will record all the data values, even those not changed. This is of course a waste of space and a not optimized management, but can be very useful for some specific project needs (i.e.production reports).
Historian: each Tag is recorded only when it changes. This is very optimized for time-series data (i.e. for Trends).
You can chose one or another model, depending from your needs. See the product manuals for more info.

Movicon.NExT licensing for the Server counts only Tags exchanged with the field devices, independently from what is in use or not. The Client station will count only the Tags connected to the servers, counting only the Tags in use. But please note that the Client counts any kind of Tag connected to the servers.

    Hi,
Movicon.NExT has a licensing model based on Tags, only Tags connected with field devices. Each Tag can be bit, byte, word, float, long, double… You can have also Structures or Array, but in this case each member counts like a Tag.
Respect to Movicon 11, there is a big difference, where Movicon 11 counts I/O bytes. Please refers to the Product License Page of this web site, where you can also download the PDF file for products details. In case more details needs, please contact your nearest Progea sales office.
    Thanks.
